[14] OOTD

So today looks like it's going to be another beautiful summer day here in California. In honor of such a glorious day I dressed for the occasion, especially for a girls day. Wether you're going to lunch, taking a trip to the beach or just going shopping with your girls sometimes it pays to dress up a little. Here I sported a fun flared out skirt that sits perfectly at your waist and a loose blouse thats perfectly lightweight for the hot sun. The 70's are a big trend this summer, in honor of such I broke out my slouchy ankle boots that don't have too much of a  heel for long hours of walking.

Rocksbox Review 2.0

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you had a safe and fun weekend! For those of you in the United States Happy belated 4th! may your weekend have been spent with friends/family and enjoying lovely fireworks! Today I wanted to review my second ever Rocksbox.

Now I had originally joined Rocksbox on a free month trial. After I had received my first box I saw a selection they had styled together that I really liked and had in fact requested hoping to use them in an OOTD post. Sadly they didn't take my request into consideration and sent me three different pieces.

This box included the Gorjana Taner interlocking small cuff, the SLATE pearl triangle studs and the Moon & Lola Rose Hill Bangle in Gold/Black. While I like each piece individually I wish that the company would tailor each box to a complete look. These three are viable options (my favorite being the cuff) I wouldn't think to put them together. While I tried to style them together, it just wasn't working.

This Moon & Lola bangle while I initially thought was adorable is probably my least favorite in this box. While it's great for layering bracelets it's almost too simple for my liking on my wrist. I gave up the multiple bangle trend awhile ago, however if you're looking for a quick elegant simple bracelet you can find this for $56.

These SLATE studs are a simple, geometric gold mine. There are great if you have multiple piercings in your ears which allows you to layer your ears in a matter of speak. They are understated neutral beauties that are moderately priced at $44.

The final piece and by far the most expensive ($112) is the Gorjana Taner Interlocking Small Cuff. The cuff is simple with its gold plating hammered detailing, its large enough so that it can be a statement piece and can be styled through many outfits easily. My personal taste likes bracelets that can stand on their own without being ostentatious By far the best piece offered in this box.

This box I must save was a bit of a disappointment, it's also my last rocksbox now that my trial has ended which is as equally disappointing. They are a great concept if you're like me and you don't have much time to shop. for $19/month you get as many boxes as you can handle, wear risk free for as long as you like and have the option to buy if you so choose, otherwise just pack it up and send it back with the prepaid return shipping label. However I will not be renewing, with limited funds even $19 isn't something I can afford when I'm too tempted to buy the jewelry pieces!

I'd just like to remind everyone that this is not a sponsored post, this is not an advertisement for Rocksbox and all reviews of these products are my own.

What subscription box should I try next? Do you like review posts? let me know in the comment section below!

[13] OOTD - 4TH OF JULY EDITION

So incase you hadn't realized this isn't my outfit for the day, however since I have dedicated every wednesday to OOTD's I am posting what I will be wearing this weekend here for independence day!

It finally feels like summer with hot hot days and little to no wind. What does this mean? it means times for shorts, skirts, dressed and time to pack up that fall/winter wardrobe. Say goodbye to heavy jackets, lots of layers, tights and scarfs and hello to showing off that beautiful body! Here I have included a sweater to keep the patriotism going when the fireworks hit and the cool night begins to creep up on you, and of course, what's more american than layering shades of denim?

\High-tops:Converse/Crossbody:Coach/AviatorSunglasses:ArmaniExchange/

So I wanted something super casual, comfortable and of course patriotic. This look is comfortable, relaxed but still enough put together that you'll look great. The tank could be worn on its own or layered with the polka dot denim top. The tank is one of my favorites because it's playful with its graphic print of 'Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of boys'; it's super comfortable, and if you wanted to alter it you could cut down the armholes to make it looser and more like a cover up. These converse are my absolute favorite pair. They're a bit edgy with the studs on the back with this amazing crushed velvet body. I chose a cross body because if you're going out to a fair, carnival or a family barbecue you want something easy that you can just sling over and not have to worry about adjusting but has easy access to your essentials.

[11] OOTD

Today I felt like being a bit dressed up, I wanted my look to be a bit flirty, fun, but also appropriate for work/school. This look is great during the summer times because of the flared light skirt and barely there cap sleeves. You can pair the dress with a sheer tight with the line running up the back, style it for fall with a burgundy (or color of your choice) tight, or even with your bare beautiful legs. These exposed laced ankle boots are a nice luxurious suede and are absolutely stunning to wear. They have been sitting in my closet for a bit now and I saw them and just knew I had to wear them again. Paired with some fun simple gold jewelry makes this look effortless and chic while not killing your budget and quick to pull together.

[10] OOTD

Continuing with my summer theme of outfits of the day I wanted to play with a nontraditional way of wearing denim, thus inspiring todays look incorporating a chambray dress. This dress itself is very light and easy to throw on, I paired it with an equally light cardigan. This look is great for relaxing at home, going to class or maybe even a farmers market! I wanted something simple easy and fun while still being stylish and chic.
