I hope you all had a great weekend and especially a terrific Father's Day. For those of you who, like me, struggle to live a completely healthy lifestyle I decided to take up Career Girl Daily's 30-day health challenge. Reading through their article I found that unlike typical 30-day challenges, diets, etc that never seem to really work, their challenge is minimal, doesn't require hour long workouts and cutting everything that ever tastes good out of your life and is generally about slow progression to help you achieve a healthier life without the stigma of a diet.
So far the lovely girls at CGD have provided their readers with the monthly basic workout plan (image below) and a basic meal plan (week 1) each week. Reading over this weeks meal plan and a quick glance at the workouts they build in intensity which allows you to ease into the concept and are inexpensive simple meals.
Every day they want you to start with a 5-minute meditation, why I like this is because it allows you to fully wake up without expecting to function yet. If you're like me and you're not a morning person even these 5 minutes will be a gift from God to let me chill out and not be so grumpy. They also require you to drink 6 glasses of water a day, 3 of which will be a simple lemon water before each large meal (3 meals in the day) and you have two snacks between each meal.
By now I'm pretty sure you're wondering why I'm advertising another blog. Well because I encourage all those who are wanting to give this challenge a try with me. I am proud of my body and have the confidence to wear what I want and live a Chic life, however I do want to achieve a healthy lifestyle. I am going to be blogging weekly progress updates, my own personal modifications and each weeks meal plans here for convenience. These will be in combination with my regular blog posts and I may include favorited recipes I find. I encourage you all to post your own experiences in the comment sections as well if you so choose to take the challenge with me!
