Hey everyone! so yes you guessed it I was nominated for the Liebster Award, AGAIN!! I felt so humbled to be nominated once but can't believe I've actually been nominated for a second go around. I was nominated by the adorable Nabila who's own blog is called 'Nabila's Blog The Journey of My Life.' Thank you so much Nabila for the nomination and please everyone go check out her lifestyle blog.
Alright so for those of you out there who have no idea what the Liebster Award is, its basically an award given by bloggers to bloggers whom they like as long as they have under 200 followers. The rules are simple.
1. Thank & Tag the person whom nominated you
2. Answer the 11 questions presented to you by the nominator.
3. Nominate 11 fellow bloggers who happen to have under 200 followers who you truly believe deserve the award and the acknowledgment of their work on their blog.
4. Create your own 11 questions for these bloggers to answer so we all can get to know them a little better, and notify them via social media/their blog.
Now on to the questions!
What is you current favorite song?
Now why this may appear to be a simple question, this is actually extremely difficult for me to answer. I appreciate and enjoy all sorts of music from all different genre's around the world and have a tendency of just hitting shuffle on my iPod and letting it play. HOWEVER to answer this question currently I'm truly loving Chandelier from Sia. I had never really listened to it or acknowledged this song before but recently I listened to an acoustic version and I really got to listen to the lyrics, truly beautiful song.
Best compliment you have ever received?
It was back in high school, my senior year actually and we were all passing around our yearbooks to be signed and saying goodbye to friends who were moving away from school. A friend at the time named Dorothy who I had known for a few years and I shared a human anatomy class where we were talking about ancestry, after hearing my background full of so many different races I feel like a melting pot of mixtures she turned to me and told me "You are truly a beautiful representation of diversity and love"
Ugly and live forever OR pretty and die in a year?
This is a bit of a confusion question because beauty is very subjective, what someone may consider ugly somebody else could find beautiful. I also wouldn't want to live forever but I would like longer than a year so I'm having a bit of a problem answering this question.
What question you hate answering?
A question I hate answering is what race am I. I find it a bit ridiculous that this should matter to others upon first meeting me. I would prefer to be judged by what I've accomplished, my personality, and how we connect than what my racial background is. Besides usually if you're from America you're mixed with multiple things and thats not just America. We live in a beautiful age with many mixed race people. But off my soap box now lol
What cheers you up?
My puppy, my family, my friends, art, music, believe it or not horror movies. And if live ever just gets a little too down I always find watching a few episodes of Degrassi cheers me right up because life could always be worse.
If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oh boy, any meal for the rest of your life will get severely tiring no matter what. You choose the wrong thing and you could possibly blow up like a balloon no matter how much you exercise. hmmm, I..would...probabllyyyyyyy go with..
What age you wish you could be?
Never wish to be any age other than the age you are. All your experiences you've had make you who you are today, its better to enjoy the now than long for a past you can never get back to and miss out on the joys of today wishing you could be older.
The scariest thing you’ve ever experience?
I can't think of a truly scary experience I've been through. I've been pretty lucky in my life to not have to experience some truly scary things.
What do you do for fun?
I do quite a few things, I love to read, I'm an avid reader and will probably be converting walls in my room to bookshelves. I play video games, I draw, I play guitar, go out with my friends, shop lol
Are you an introvert or extrovert?
I would like to say that I can be both at any given time. I am very internalized, I internalize a lot of my thoughts and work well on my own, but in the fashion industry and in a school setting you have to be an extrovert, you have to be able to speak your mind and approach people with ease and be charismatic, you need to embody both qualities.
What are some of your favorite websites?
Well there are the obvious ones, youtube, Facebook, bloglovin, pinterest, Then there's Refinery29, WWD, Style.com, and I think Tumblr
Now I believe its my time to nominate people who's blogs I think you should check out. Having already done this tbh I haven't really been diving into new blogs as much as I should with school taking up so much of my time so I will not have 11, I apologize now, but without further ado.
