Jessica Marksbury was born and raised on the California coastline. She calls the enigmatic Bay Area where she grew up and discovered her artistic voice home. A freelance photographer, she finds herself specializing in portrait and lifestyle photography as well as retouching. The ever expressive Bay Area forests and ever changing city has great influence in her photography style. Having a background in Fashion with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University, she focuses on capturing the sculptural forms and intimate details within the collaborative experiences in her work, honoring the personalities of her subjects with every image.
Her recent past exhibits include “Perspectives” at the Crocker Museum in Sacramento, CA, a solo exhibition of her continuous series “Lost Places” at Java Jax’s curated gallery in Vallejo, CA and “HOME” at the Herger Gallery in Fairfield, CA.
